You always know who is coming to your home, there will never be someone caring who your pet whom you haven’t met.

We provide dog walking and pet care services as a full-time company. This is not our side gig to make extra money. This is our profession of choice.

WHAT IS A “MEET & GREET AND HOW DO I PREPARE?

A Meet & Greet is an in-home consultation and is conducted prior to commencing services –

This consultation allows you and your family to meet the Happy Bark & Team. The in-home consultation also allows us to gather important information (vet information, emergency contact, etc.) You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Meet & Greets are complimentary for new clients who set up a recurring schedule of visits. Additional meet & greets beyond our initial introduction may be set up for $20.

WHAT TIME WILL MY APPOINTMENT OCCUR?

Dog walking:

When you initially meet with HBT, we will ask for a general time you’d like your dog to be walked. Due to the nature of our activities, specific visit times cannot be guaranteed. **Typically, walks and visits are completed within a two – three-hour “window.” **

 

Cat Sitting:

Daily Cat Visits: The service timeframe for daily cat visits is 8am – 4pm. Evening visits can be scheduled if desired.

HOW WILL HBT NOTIFY ME OF MY PET’S WELL BEING?

We provide all clients with detailed reports + pictures for each of our visits. 

You will receive a notification upon our arrival and also upon our departure. 

ARE THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF DOG WALKS REQUIRED PER WEEK?

To maintain our standard of excellent service with a consistent walker for every client, we require dog walking clients to meet the minimum service requirement of three (3) scheduled service days per week. Scheduled services are defined as Monday through Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm with recurring days and times.

 

HBT build routines; we value quality care, stable, reliable relationships with you and your pets. We do not offer any sporadic dog walking services.

WILL THE SAME WALKER COME EVERY VISIT?

You will be assigned a single pet sitter.  If your pet sitter is not available a backup sitter will be assigned. You will be notified prior to any changes in your daily sitter.

CAN YOU ADMINISTER MEDICATIONS?

Yes, we absolutely can. We are able to give pills, liquids, topical medications to most pets. We are also able to give needle administered medications like insulin. There is no additional cost to administer medication or feed your pet.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Pet Sitting, Boarding & Cat Sitting is subject to a one-week cancellation period of the full 50% deposit. 

Dog Walking services are to be cancelled by 7 PM the night before services are to begin without incurring a charge. Any services cancelled after 7pm will be charged at the full rate.

If your dog is not home during your regular scheduled appointment or we are sent away at the time of our arrival— the full-service charge will incur.

 

We are responsible for paying our employees when visits are cancelled with minimal notice. For this reason, our cancellation policy is enforced. By proving a schedule with regularity + establishing job security. We are able to employ top-notch Pet Care professionals dedicated to our clients and their pets.

WHAT’S HBT PAYMENT POLICY?

Payment is due prior to the beginning of any services scheduled.  Any accounts not paid as agreed will incur a late charge of $20.  Additional late charges will be incurred monthly until the account is paid in full.


Monthly Packages renewals are due upon receiving your invoice.

WHAT FORM OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We bill via online invoicing; we accept ACH, major credit cards and apple pay

DO YOU ACCEPT LAST MINUTE REQUEST?

We are happy to accommodate last-minute requests when possible. 

Please note that we reserve the right to apply a $10 last-minute surcharge to visits requested on the same day as they are needed. Our last-minute surcharge compensates our employees for changing their plans to accommodate last-minute additions. We tend to only apply this charge to those that consistently request services with less than 24-hour’s notice. However, if you aren’t a current client, we must have a consultation prior to any service.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE WEEKEND, EVENINGS AND HOLIDAY DOG WALKS & CAT SERVICES?

Yes, we do! There is an additional $5 fee for weekend dog walks Saturday and Sunday. Evening dog walks and cat visits scheduled between 5:00pm -10:00pm are also $5 additional. Major Holidays are subject to $10 additional.

Please note weekend and evening visits are subject to walker availability.

DO I NEED TO GIVE YOU KEYS TO MY HOME?

We require two sets of house keys from all clients. One set of keys remains in the care of your primary pet sitter and the other set is kept in our office safe to be used in the case of a lock-out or emergency. All keys under HBT are securely coded for all of our client’s safety + privacy.

 

If keys are not provided during your initial meet & greet, or if you need to provide us with a replacement key for your home, there is a $18 fee to pick it up. 

WHAT IF I WANT MY KEYS RETURNED?

If you would like your keys to be returned, we will be more than happy to drop them off at a fee of $18.

WHAT ABOUT SERVICES DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER?

We are out and about every day, regardless of the weather. If conditions are unsafe for travel for your pets or our employees (such as extreme storms), we will notify you as early as possible that your scheduled visits may be modified, delayed or canceled.

 

The HBT team will shorten outdoor exercise time during heavy rainfall, hail, lightning and/or thunderstorms. In such cases, exercise time will be replaced with indoor playtime and TLC.
